Helping children feel cared for from the very beginning.

When a child enters foster care, everything can change in an instant. They may leave their home with only the clothes they are wearing and very few belongings of their own.

4 the KIDS Closet is being created to help meet those immediate needs and remind children entering foster care that they are seen, known, loved, and not forgotten.

Our goal is simple:

Give children the essentials they need for their first five days in foster care.

Through the Closet, children can receive new, age-appropriate clothing and essential items to help make those first days a little easier.

What We Hope to Provide:

  • 5 days of clothing

  • Pajamas

  • Socks and underwear

  • Shoes

  • Personal care and hygiene items

  • A duffel bag for their belongings

  • Comfort items

  • A freezer meal for their new foster family

Every child has different needs, so we want the Closet to provide flexibility to meet each child where they are.

Why the Closet Matters:

A child entering foster care is already experiencing a major disruption in their life.

Something as simple as having clean clothes that fit, a new pair of pajamas, or a bag to call their own can communicate something powerful:

You matter.

The 4 the KIDS Closet is one more way we can provide consistency, community, and care through the Gospel of Jesus.

How You Can Help:

It takes our whole community to be ready for a child when they enter foster care.

A Little Care Can Make a Big Difference

We can't change the circumstances that brought a child into foster care. But we can make sure they don't walk into their next chapter feeling forgotten.

Together, we can help make those first five days a little easier—and remind every child that they are seen, known, loved, and not forgotten.
